Bangladeshi Military delegate was visiting the Indian capital recently to jointly celebrate the glorious victory of the Indian Bangladesh Allied forces in 1971. Major General Kamrul Hassan led Bangladeshi military delegate reiterated that the relationship between the two countries was ever so strong, the syllabus of the training of the Bangladesh and Indian armies are very common, and both armies’ doctrines are very close to each other.

India and Bangladesh military have always enjoyed a very cohesive and friendly relationship, and the relationship is further cemented by the history of 1971. Bangladesh is deeply indebted to the support that it received in 1971. When ironically, the whole western world and the Muslim world kind of turned a blind eye.

Bangladesh’s this monumental rise of economic growth graphs also reflects the tenacity of the state and her military and civil leadership.

The delegation also comprised members, including Freedom Fighters of 1971 and Indian army veterans who took part in the war from the Indian side.

Twelve million refugees poured into India in 1971 to seek refuge there to save their lives from the massacre and the Genocide that the heinous Pakistan Army unleashed in 1971 for nine long months.
